Book Three Is Coming Along!

Friends,

It’s a new week, and that means that we have another opportunity to achieve success, to tackle our goals, and to accomplish the task at hand! Join me for today’s content…

The Faces of the War Collection

I have made some good headway this past week on my third book, with the word count coming in at over 19K words. In the spirit of tackling our goals, mine for this week include completing Part I and beginning tending to a few details in the text by Friday. It should only be a day’s work (or two) because I should need less than 1,000 words to finish what needs to be said in the book’s first act.

When I return after some time away from work, I plan to move forward with writing Part II. The planning is done for the most part, but I feel I’ll need to get some more details ironed out in order to smoothly write the rest of the book. But even with that still on my plate, I am confident that the story can be completed by the end of the summer. However, it’s always wise to keep an open mind, especially when it comes to publication timelines.

If you haven’t checked out my first two books, Resistant and Unguarded, then I encourage you to do so!

YouTube

We are in the final week of my videos on writing process, with the videos being posted this coming Friday as usual. There will be two videos because they each cover the same topic but relate to different media of publication. By this, I mean that I’ll touch on bringing your book to market via Kindle Direct Publishing and Createspace (Kindle and print, respectively).

If you haven’t checked out my channel, I encourage you to do so. After my writing process videos are complete, I’ll post more personal, writing life videos with tips, tricks, and other writing-related topics included. Come along for the ride, and be sure to click the Thumbs Up and Subscribe buttons too!

GoFundMe Campaign

I am still raising funds to support the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. Raising money for an organization has been something I’ve wanted to do for some time, and this is what I’ve chosen as my first philanthropic project. So please, consider joining me in my effort to maintain history for future generations!

In other news, I recently got hired into a second job that is starting out as part-time, but has the potential to turn into full-time. This may sound counterintuitive in terms of writing productivity, but it is an answered prayer in my person life. This will give me more stability and more time with my wife. Rest assured, my writing will continue!

Also, I’ll be taking next week off from my blog posts and newsletter. However, upon my return from vacation I’ll have details and information for you in blog, vlog, and newsletter…so be sure to keep an eye out for those!

If you are reading this and you are new to my work, please feel free to check out the projects on my website and to contact me if you want to chat!

Until next time,

-Eli

Summer Plans

Friends,

It is another week – one that I hope is filled with goals and aspirations for you, both personally and professionally! Let’s get right down to business…

The Faces of the War Collection

First of all, I apologize for not informing you via the blog post last week that my first two books were discounted on Amazon. I had a lot on my mind and much was going on for me personally that day, but that’s no excuse. As a writer and self-promoter, I should have been more on top of that, and I wasn’t. So to compensate for it, I will plan to make these two books, Resistant and Unguarded, free for a time during the launch week of my third and upcoming book. I hope to release it in the late summer or early fall, depending on its publication progress.

As for those details, I had to switch some story details around, which put me back in my writing just a tad this week. But that’s part of the process – researching and getting the details done accurately. I’m closing in on the completion of Part I (there are usually three Parts to my books, if you’re new to my work), after which I plan to continue right along with Part II. My original plan was to switch projects and work a little on my short stories while Part I was being beta read, but priorities have changed for me at this point. I want to complete this book first before changing projects.

To help get feedback on my projects, I’m always open to working with people who enjoy reading, and who would like to be beta readers for me. We can discuss compensation if you’re interested, and if so, please contact me at the email found on my Contact page.

The Short Story Collection

As you just read above, I’ve decided to put this project on hold for the time being. I hope to get some more feedback on the story I’ve completed in order to really fine tune it. That will happen in time…just not right now.

YouTube

I am nearing the end of my series on my writing process. Since I’ll be on a brief anniversary trip at the end of the month, I figured I’d treat that as a dividing point between YouTube mini projects. With that being said, I’ll upload three more videos over the next two weeks, then take that Friday off while on vacation.

Upon my return, I’ll treat my weekly vlogs as simply that: video logs of what I do throughout the week without really having a scripted structure like for the writing process videos. I’d like to include footage of our time on vacation (location to be disclosed later), but we’ll see what happens.

If you haven’t yet seen my videos or subscribed to my channel, you can find my content here.

That’s all I have for today. As always, I thank you for your following, and for the support and encouragement you give me. It helps doing what I do go over so much better, believe me!

Until next time,

-Eli

Short Bit

Friends,

I hope this post finds you well and in good spirits! Today’s post is a little shorter than usual because it’s a day full of things in my personal life. So without wasting any more time, let’s get down to today’s content…

The Faces of the War Collection

There has been much progress with my third book, still tentatively due to release sometime in the late summer months. I am on pace to reach the 20K word mark by next week or so, which is very exciting! The story is really beginning to unravel, and it’s great! Keep an eye out for details about the cover and title release, hopefully in the next two months!

The Short Story Collection

I have decided to put this project on hold for the time being. There are certain things I am doing, both in my personal and writing lives, that take priority over this. However, I will get to finishing Volume 2 in time. The point of this project, anyway, was to give me something to write on when I wasn’t working on my larger projects. In addition to my upcoming WWII book, there is something else in the works, but you’ll find out about that soon enough!

YouTube

If you haven’t yet checked out my channel, I encourage you to do so. I am nearing the end of my series on writing process, which should be toward the end of the month. After that, I plan on vlogging my everyday writing life and include details about my projects and such. Be sure to click the “Subscribe” button, as well as to “Thumbs Up” the videos you watch. It really helps me out in the YouTube community!

There isn’t much more in terms of news, but I hope to begin the summer with a refreshed approach to my blog posts so that you, my readers, can still get your fill of my work but also be informed on more than just my projects. Be sure to “Follow” my blog if you aren’t already, because I’m trying to make it better from here on out!

Also, please feel free to explore my website and check out my books and projects, if you have not yet done so. I’m only a few clicks away from a chat about my work, so don’t hesitate to contact if you have questions about my books or what I’m working on!

Until next time,

-Eli
