  24. I hope your Husky is feeling better! It means so much to me Michael when you act very interested in my endeavor to publish my book. I’m still confused on the illustration through the book illustrator. You said your cover was changed and not quite what you envisioned but you are happy with it. That’s what confuses me. Do you tell the illustrator this is the idea in my head of a certain scene or character and then they draw it for you? And how long should the synopsis be on the back of the book? It is hard to not give everything away to describe the main part of the book. Thanks for your input, Michael!

    • Hi Cherie! Of course, I’m glad to offer my help and advice, and certainly my support and encouragement. And yes, I basically come up with an idea for the book cover, and then use descriptions and Google images to give the designer inspiration for that idea. It won’t happen to end up like you envision it every time, like this recent cover has proven. Hope you’re looking forward to reading this book!

  27. I cannot wait until your book is published! I want to buy the copy because I’m old fashioned and love to hold the actual book in my hands. Thank you for the input you always have time to give me. At times it feels overwhelming with the entire publishing process. But your teaching us with your own experiences is so inspiring! It makes me think maybe just maybe my dream can come true. Congrats on your new job too! I cannot wait to see your cover when you reveal it!
Thanks for caring enough to personally answer my questions. You are a wonderful teacher and I can tell you don’t think of it as a tedious job. You really enjoy it!
