The “Faces of the War” collection is a grouping of historical fiction stories set during the Second World War. There are a handful of books planned to be in the collection. It is to be understood that this is a collection and not a series. By this, I mean that the stories themselves are not linked to each other, save for the commonality of time period that they share. Writing the stories this way allows you, the reader, to pick and choose which book(s) you would like to read without having to read through the others to understand the story in any given book.
I wanted to write them in this way because it affords you more freedom to read how you please, and it allows me to expand on my creativity, coming up with plot lines and character arcs that aren’t bound to be connected through the whole collection. Despite the books not being directly related, there is somewhat of a chronological order to them. Some of the stories span the entire time of the war, while some stories take place in a shorter amount of time. But as a rule of thumb, “Resistant” begins closest to the start of the war and the last book will end closest to the conclusion of the war. These stories all take place in the European theatre of war.
